The international festival “Organ Plus in Tsaritsyno” will start on the 3rd of October in the Atrium of “the House of Bread”. This time the art director and organist Konstantin Wolostnow dedicated the festival to Austrian Music.
The festival will start with the Russian premiere of an excellent work of the Baroque, the Missa Bruxellensis of Ignaz von Biber (1644-1704), antecessor of W.A. Mozart. This work will be played by the well-known authentic collective INTRADA, who are a vocal ensemble, and the instrumentalists Alta und Bassa Capella.
Traditionally the foreign musicians receive a special place in the festival – the organist István Mátyás (Austria) and Sergej Tscherepanow (Germany), as well as the popular “poet of the violin” Gunar Letzbar (Austria), whose interpretation of Bibers Sacral Sonata will throw back the audience almost for three centuries, because it recreates the Holy Scriptures in front of the mind´s eye.
