The wind band „Bundesmusikkapelle Unterlangkampfen“ from Tyrol/ Austria was established in 1862 and is the local band of a village with 4000 people. The 60 members of this band are between 12 and 80 years old and all amateurs. Most of the concerts for festive and religious reasons take place in the area of Kufstein/Tyrol, but over the years, there were several appearances all over Austria and abroad, for example in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands. The main focus of conductor Helmut Thaler is on traditional Austrian music from famous composers like Franz von Suppé, Julius Fucik and Johann Strauss, but all types of music are represented in the repertoire of this traditional Tyrolian wind band!
The concert program is traditional, Austrian and Tyrolean brass music, as well as marches with singing, etc.
