The four members of the Auner Quartet met in 2013 during their studies of chamber music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. The strong chemistry between Daniel Auner (violin), Barbara de Menezes Galante Auner (violin), Nikita Gerkusov (viola) and Konstantin Zelenin (violoncello) led the four to continue their concert activities after completing their studies. And with great success. Driven by the desire to further explore and expand the sonic possibilities of this formation, the fixed line-up of the Auner Quartett was formed after several concerts in Vienna. Auner Quartett have been selected as NASOM “New Austrian Sound of Music” act 2020-21.
